How important are toenail fungus symptoms to saving your toenails’ lives?
The answer to that is “extremely important”–while it seems like a harmless infection at first, a toenail fungus infection can kill your toenails and infect other nearby parts of your body if the toenail fungus symptoms are left untreated.
What is a toenail fungus infection?
Quite simply put, it is the growth and development of fungi underneath your toenails. While most people simply dismiss the white and yellow spot underneath a toenail (which is indicative of a fungal infection), it is dangerous to do so because ignoring toenail fungus symptoms can lead to more serious infection, which may just cost you your toenails—and believe it or not, this is probably one of the most stressful and uncomfortable ordeals one can ever experience.
The first thing to look out for is the way your toenails look—if they seem thickened in any way, or brittle or crumbly, even distorted and dull-looking, these may be signs that your toenails are suffering from a fungal infection. Watch our for toenail color as well, as one of the more popular toenail fungus symptoms is a darkened toenail color due to debris that have been accumulating behind it (caused by the fungal infection).
Recognizing these important toenail fungus symptoms is important as this may just spell the difference between instant treatment and eventual disaster. By ignoring these toenail fungus symptoms, you are giving the fungi room and time to grow, thereby eventually making the infection so much more difficult to cure when you finally decide to seek treatment for it. The important thing to remember is to be vigilant, and if you regularly go to damp areas, always monitor your toes for toenail fungus symptoms as this may save you from eventual discomfort and expensive treatment.
If you’ve already had a toenail fungus infection, you probably already know from experience that having one is probably one of the most uncomfortable experiences in one’s life. In fact, a toenail fungus infection is difficult to treat and can be dangerous in terms of permanently damaging your nails—you can actually lose your nails from such an infection!
Also referred to as onychomycosis, a toenail fungus infection can look harmless at first, beginning its life as a simple yellow or white spot that can be found right underneath one of your toenails. However, if left untreated, such an infection can spread and intensify in severity, thereby endangering your toenails and making it even more challenging to treat. If you hang out in damp public areas such as a gym or swimming pools, a toenail fungus infection will always be one of the risks you have to face. Fungi thrive on damp spots, and there is no better not-so-well-maintained public place than a gym or a swimming pool to get the infection. The worst thing about a toenail fungus infection is that it doesn’t just stay in one place; if you don’t treat it right away, it can spread to other toes or parts of the foot.
What then is the best thing to do?
To steer clear of a toenail fungus infection, make sure that you are aware of the symptoms of the infection. Know which signs to look out for and know how to prevent it from developing on your foot.
A toenail fungus infection may seem harmless in the first few days of its development, but will become more threatening in the days to come if you don’t treat it right away. You become at risk for toenail loss, which can be quite painful and difficult to deal with. Don’t wait until the toenail fungus infection becomes so severe that treatment becomes a stressful ordeal.
Even though i haven’t tried them all, I tried a lot of toenail fungus remedies altogether and only one solved my problem. I tried soaking my feet in vinegar, using a cotton swab and warm water to wash my toes – everything!! They just didn’t work at all to be perfectly honest.
Here is some more information about how zetaclear nail solution works. Homeopathic labs and doctors have been testing and using natural ingredients of zeta-clear for many years to treat other nail problems and so they decided to use some of these minerals to create a solution named Zetaclear.
It is a oral spray that you simply spray under your tongue (which actually tastes suprisingly nice) 2-3 times a day and goes through the blood kind of like a painkiller to ease symptoms and relief pain. There are also special oils in the box which are the pefect treatment of toenail fungus. They come with a soft brush that you just brush over the nails in the morning and at night. They say you should do this on the fingernails too, but i think that’s just a bribe to make you buy more and I didn’t bother. Click here if you want to see more about it.
Of all the toenail fungus remedies I tried, this is actually the least medicinal in smell. It actually smells quite lemony and fresh and includes a mix of lavender in there too. Even though I didn’t use it on my finger nails, I kept using it on my feet for about 5 months. This is because if you stop using it too soon, it can come back because there was still a small particle of fungus remaining under the nail itself.
Basically there is no “silver bullet” but Zeta clear is – I would say – a surefire way to solve it over time. It took me about 6 weeks to get rid of the actual fungus-look, but about 3 months for the swelling to reduce almost completely and for my nail to finally return to its normal colour which was great!
Like I said I also used Vitamin E oil in my treatment time which I thought helped to speed up the process a bit and I’d advise you do the same too. I also had a theory that drinking more water than usual would help clear out the system too. I don’t know whether this helps or not but I drunk 4 or 5 glasses a day.
Back about 200 years ago, there was absolutely no way of curing toenail fungus. I’m sure if a cavewoman or man had it he wouldn’t just go down to his local pharmacy and ask for some drugs. But nowadays the situation is very different. In this article I am talking about various treatments and toenail fungus remedies.
Firstly, you must make sure that you don’t use nail varnish to paint your nails and disguise them. You must also not use nail varnish remover as it is can cause serious harm to your nerve endings in the toe. In addition, fake nails aren’t an effective toe nail fungus remedy even though they look good!
If you’re using a modern treatment such as an ointment or medication then it could be good to try vitamin E too. Apply some vitamin E oil morning and evening with a cotton swab and carefully wash over the nail with it. Then, push the swab around to the side of the nail and if possible underneath. This might cause some slight pain just make sure your careful and gentle. It’s worth a try in conjuction with a professional treatment.
When I was first looking for toenail fungus remedies online, I found a lot of information about vinegar in particular, white vinegar. It looked like a good alternative to the expensive ointments and paint-on treatments so I gave it a go. Personally, I found it didn’t do a thing and would advise you not to bother. It also is quite painful.
There are many toenail fungus remedies out there. It’s just about doing some research and making a decision that you think will work best for you. I will keep you updated.
